I just recently rented the complete Freaks and Geeks series and didn't realize until I started watching how many great actors got their start on this show! I first noticed James Franco in the Spiderman movies and I thought he was cute and he has gone on to do some pretty good movies but he is amazing in F&G and he was just starting out then! I also love how Seth Rogen and Jason Seigel are both in the show and they are still acting together in movies. Busy Phillipps is also phenomenal!

Argh, it's SO weird that you started this thread melbell! I didn't know a lot about this show until today and the cast list was one of the first things I noticed and I honestly was going to start a thread with the exact same title! lol
I definitely want to watch this one too but I'm struggling to get hold of it on DVD, there doesn't appear to be any region 2 copies...

I like the both of you looked at the cast. I really started looking at it because one of the actors was on Bones and I love James Franco. I was shocked by how many people were on the show cant wait to get this one. Glad you are enjoying melbell and hope you enjoy peyton.

I'll be starting this soon. This and MSCL are typically called the best teen dramas, so I'm eager to see if it'll live up to its hype.

F&G is a good show and it's a little different than the typical teen drama in my opinion. It's not in my all time favorites list though...I would also recommend Life as We Know It...it's from the same creators of F&G.

I also love how Seth Rogen and Jason Seigel are both in the show and they are still acting together in movies. Indeed. Judd Apatow was the Exec-producer-director on the series, too; they became great friends on the set so it's no coincidence the three still work together to this day. For the unaware, Judd directed Rogan in Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express, 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Step Brothers, Funny People, Adventureland, Drillbit Taylor, Undeclared (Which also had Jason in it).... So yeah, they've worked together a LOT.

Not to MENTION the lead character, played by Linda Cardellini! I love her as Velma in the Scooby-Doo movies lol and she was on ER, too, I believe.

Yeah Linda is great. I enjoy her in the scooby doo movies also. I've seen her in other stuff I know that I can't quite think of at the moment. This may sound strange but I really like her voice lol...
