Yeah I just want to let them come on and keep it a surprise. I did that with the theme and she was happy so imagine this. She is a Lucas Scott fan and Peyton when I would pick on him or her she would be like Marisa shut up I think I may shed a tear when they do come back I miss Peyton so much! I miss Lucas but over the watches Peyton became one of my favorites.

lol, I hadn't been online all day and I saw the beginning of the article and opened up all and any OTH site I visit - and then my laptop crashed and I was going a little nuts.
I've seen so many people being down on it and bashing Mark but I'm happy. As I've said before, even IF they don't make it back the fact that as the creator of the show, he recognises that they need to be there, that makes me happy.

In fairness, not a huge surprise. They kind of telegraphed it with Haley's letters to Lucas.

Only kind of. At the end of the day, until there was word from Mark everyone was going to be surprised.
The letters could have just as easily been a way of shutting the fans up because they didn't mention LP at all last season.
I think it's more the actual talks with the actors and it being all good that people are surprised about considering how many people like to talk about how much they know about what when on with CMM and Mark, cos, y'know, they know them so well. Psht. (that is to no one here by the way, I have just read so much crap the last couple of days lol)

I don't really keep up on the behind the scenes rumors and gossip of the show anymore, I just watch....but you did peak my interest. What "went on" between CMM and Mark? I'm assuming they didn't see eye to eye on things or something to do with the salary negotiations? Too lazy to look it up on my own...lol

No one knows what went on and that's why I get so annoyed with it all lol There's a video where Chad is with fans and he says I'm not back for season 7. He says something like they don't want me back, they want to save money, but personally I don't really take it at face value. I just don't think he'd be so blatant lol but maybe I'm naive A lot of people are all like 'Hilarie had to leave all because of Chad because they couldn't have Peyton without Lucas blah blah blah' but personally, I don't believe any of it for the simple fact that neither of them have said anything apart from 'we signed a six year contract, we've done six years, we want to see what else is out there'. So yeah, basically, as far as we actually know nothing bad went on between CMM and Mark or Hilarie. But salary negotiations is the most common rumour. As much as I stupidly know all this stuff, I don't care for any of it which is why I get so rattled by people who think they know, y'know? lol Either way, I'm so amped about a return it's untrue. I think any true fan of OTH should be able to recognise that Lucas and Peyton were a ridiculously huge part of the show and ending it without them would be so unsatisfying.

I agree Peyton. Ending it without them would kind of be a waste in my eyes. That is why I had such a hard time thinking of the finale. I love Brooke and Nathan they are originals but what about Lucas and Peyton? I am still worried they will end it without Dan but since this might happen the Lucas and Peyton thing I will take what I can get

I don't believe any of it for the simple fact that neither of them have said anything apart from 'we signed a six year contract, we've done six years, we want to see what else is out there'. I never bought that explanation on the basis that for a teen drama to do more than four seasons was practically unheard of when OTH started. Only a couple of shows had broken four before that - Dawson's & 90210 - so why would they give them a six-year deal? Seems like a lie to me, they had no way of knowing the show had any longevity when it started out.

Just because you don't think it would happen doesn't make it a lie. And who knows, maybe it wasn't six years in one go. Given OTH's history of fighting season to season, maybe they just mean they felt there time had come. But I reiterate - we do not know, whether we are in the business or not so its not for us to go around suggesting people are telling porkies. I know we're fans of teen dramas here but why do we insist of making unnecessary drama out of everything?

In legal terms, it'd be classed as a 'presumption upon precedent' - if they've said they had six year contracts when such things are unheard of, you can make the assumption that it's probably untrue. In layman's terms, it's like me claiming to have a spaceship in my garage. You can call me a liar, but without seeing the inside of my garage, you're only presuming so. [/quote] (sorry I hit the wrong button and screwed your quote up, my bad!)
