I've watched the first two episodes (all that have been broadcast so far) and I have to say that I really enjoy this. It definitely has elements from Dollhouse and especially Alias, and of course the original films and television series (but it's a remake, so it can.)
Maggie Q isn't a fantastic actress, but is decent enough to pull off bad-ass Nikita. Lindsey Fonseca as Alex, however, has me tuning in each week.
Highly recommend everyone to watch this! Thursdays at 9 on The CW if you're in the US!

Glad to see another fan! I loved the pilot and am going to watch the second episode today or tomorrow I agree though the actors are interesting and I can't wait to see how is plays out. I was looking at birkoff like man i recognize you then looked him up and he was in the hills have eyes.

I'm watching the third episode now (well, just starting), but I can't believe how much it borrows from Alias. First off, the voice-overs done by Nikita sound SO much like the ones Jennifer Garner did as Sydney at the beginning of each Alias episode. SO much alike.
Second, Nikita's former boyfriend was murdered, as was Sydney's fiancée.. They were also both named Daniel. Hmmm...
Third, Nikita is working against the cooperation that trained her... so was Sydney.
Plus the whole CIA-concept.
IDK, was this what the original movies and television series were like? Or am I right in saying that it's a little too similar to Alias.
Either way, I really enjoy it.

Hmm I haven't seen Alias yet but as soon as I watch I am going to have to look out for these similarities. I am liking this one most out of the CW new shows or shows in general. This and VD.

Loving this and looks like Devon Sawa(little giants, Final destination) is going to be on for a while. I can't tell you how much of a crush I had well still have when I re-watch the movies on him.

I'd say your assessment is right. They've taken elements of Alias and Dark Angel and mashed them together under the Nikita name. Only seen the pilot, but already I can see this show is going to have very little in common with the originals.
