Who loves them? Who doesn't? Why? Discus!

I loved them! They had this instant connection that Lucas and Peyton had and Ryan had that similar thing with being there to save her. Like L/P they were a couple who even when they weren't together, it was always there.
That being said, I can understand why people don't like them. They hurt each other quite a lot, and Marissa had some serious issues. But I think by the end of season three they were slowly developing a friendship that would have done wonders for their romantic relationship but it was taken from them.

I'm not trying to be ironic or cruel, but the scene when she died, I think that was their best scene together. That scene was so nicely made, and you could see how much he cares about her.

Oh yeah definitely. I find it really hard because they had JUST got back on an even keel with each other again and they were going to college together and I know they would have found their way back to each other. And that is written all over Ryan's face in that scene, so I agree!

I agree with both of you about that scene. that scene got me so much. I loved Ryan and Marissa they were not always the best for each other sometimes though. She had a lot of issues but Ryan helped with some of then but in the end I think they would have made it but like you stated it was taken away from them.
Also one of their issues was Julie Cooper but does anyone else notice that after Marissa died and when she finally came to terms that she had a appreciation for Ryan. Like in the scene where they had that dream and he had to read Marissa's letter in season 4 they showed how she looked at him and I was like aww.
