So, I've noticed there is no thread for longest lasting couple on OTH. I'm sure there are a lot of people who love them, but who mind them. Discus!

I do like Naley, and I think they have quite a healthy relationship, actually. But the reason I'm not a hardcore 'shipper is because generally the 'ships I love are a combination of two people that I adore. But as much as I love Nathan and he is easily one of my favourite characters, Haley does not rank high enough on that list. Well, she goes up and down, lol.
I think one of my favourite Naley 'times' is season six.

Why season 6. I like early Naley, when he had hard time winning her heart. That's the time Nathan started to change.

Season six for several reasons really. I think they are at their strongest, they are both pushing each other to reach their dreams and I think it's when Nathan finally accepts that he is a good person and stops thinking he's not good enough.
They're solid.

I'm glad they finally realized that no one has to make a sacrafice. They both can make their dreams come true.

Like you said Peyton one of the reasons I cant love them as much as the others is because I dont like Haley as much. Season 6 and 4 are my favorites for them at the moment.

I think that it's one of the seasons where they have some fun, they're happy and when they do face problems, like Q's death, they faced them together.
It's also where we see them being quite domestic. I love when Haley phones Nathan after that fight with the bitch Principal and he makes a joke about her sorting out their draws - as she's doing just that!

So I guess season 6 is fine. But season 4? Nathan made some bad decissions, so I don't like him in that episode. The best thing he did for her was buying that dress. awwww.

I liked season 4 because they had their struggles but they came out strong. He made some bad choices in that season but like you I love the dress moment. I loved how he made the speech at his press conference when he found out Haley was pregnant and it seemed he was going to turn into a Dan but he didn't. Also they were so cute when they both were worrying about Jamie at that party in the finale.

Nathan did make some bad decisions in season four but his reasons for doing so aren't so deplorable. He did what he did for his family, he was in a crappy situation and he saw no other way out. He got caught up in something he thought was under his control. I think the fact that Haley recognises that is important to the whole relationship.

The situation was not just black and white and Nathan did what he had to but I will say he seemed to learn from it. He has grown to be both a wonderful husband and father over the years. I enjoy seeing that side of him. ;D

Definitely agree! I love the person he's became and even though I still don't like him in the first few episodes when I go back, I find it much easier to understand why he behaves that way and remember how much he has grows as the series goes on. Obviously Haley helped him become that person but I love how as they go on they become that person for each other and keep each other grounded.

He's a total douche in the first few episodes. He's no different than his father. I know that Dan told him all this crap about Lucas and Karen, but he was sixteen/seventeen. He should have been able to decide for himself.

He is a douche, yes, but you think it was easy for him to decide for himself against someone like Dan? He didn't have the strength to, not until he met Haley. He behaved just like Dan because of how he was brought up.
We see throughout the whole series how manipulative and powerful Dan is, Nathan didn't have a chance before then to do anything about it.

Here's a few of the best Naley videos I've come across
