"Veronica Mars Movie Not Likely to Happen""Veronica Mars was one of the best t.v. shows nobody saw. Yet it’s got many loyal fans (including me!) and that’s something for a series that was cancelled after three seasons. Creator Rob Thomas has touted a movie version for a while now but Joel Silver (one of the show’s executive producers) has pretty much told MTV the project is as dead as a door nail that’s totally dead:
“It’s not me; there’s just nobody who wants to make it happen. I’d love to see it happen. We talked to Rob Thomas about it, and he had an idea of what to do, but … look, it’d still be on the air if people want to see the movie or the show. It just didn’t happen.”
Well there’s always the box-sets to watch again and again. American networks have a terrible habit of pulling the plug on amazing t.v. shows down the years. Poor Joss Whedon had the incredible Firefly practically aborted in the womb and Dollhouse didn’t fair much better.
It’s fair to say Joel Silver is telling the truth on this and he’s genuinely sad it won’t happen."www.filmshaft.com/veronica-mars-movie-not-likely/Aw, I really wanted a movie! Hopefully there's a chance!
