I'm glad they're not going to break them up. She deserves a good man by her side, and Julian seems just the right for her. About her having a baby, well, I would like to see that.. maybe in the end, you know, maybe they could flash forward last 10 minutes of the show like 5 years in the future or something.. and I would like to see her having a nice family.

Especially since Brooke has wanted a baby for a while now (three years?)...

The CW is picking up six additional scripts for the freshman cheerleading drama and the network fixture. While this doesn’t signify an official order for new episodes, it’s certainly a positive sign. Hellcats debuted with 3 million viewers, before dropping to 2.3 million in its second week. The premiere of One Tree Hill - in its eighth season - garnered just 2.1 million viewers... but considering the show's apparent indestructibility, it's doubtful Sophia Bush is breaking a sweat. nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2010/09/good_news_for_hellcats_and_one.html

"One Tree Hill's Bethany Joy Galeotti is 'absolutely' staying with the show" Joy has quashed the rumour about her leaving if the show goes past the 13 episode order. But what I found more interesting was this: Has anyone else read any confirmation that this is the last season no matter what? I mean, I hope it is, and the return of the credits and theme song points further to that but I wasn't aware Mark or anyone had agreed it would the 'final bow'? Still, great to hear Haley/Naley will be there til the end! Full article: blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2010/10/one-tree-hills-bethany-joy-galeotti-is-absolutely-staying-with-the-show.html

Interesting! I have not seen any statements from Mark or anyone of the CW announcing that season 8 is definately the finale...did see this artical which also points in that direction: Chad Michael Murray & Hilarie Burton Returning to One Tree HillStill nursing that Chad Michael Murray-shaped hole in your heart? Well, snap out of it, sistah! We've got some scoop straight from a solid One Tree Hill source (as well as some insight on CMM and Hilarie Burton's impending return from series mastermind Mark Schwahn) that will cure those Lucas and Peyton-missing woes—mainly because you won't be missing them much longer. Wait, is that a squee we hear? According to our source, the plan is for Chad and Hilarie to be back in Tree Hill this season. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but we're hearing that the original plan was to have the happy family (baby in tow) return for Brooke's (Sophia Bush) two-episode wedding, during OTH's original 13-episode order. But now that six additional scripts have been picked up, the Scott clan's return may happen later. Mark recently revealed to us that everyone over on OTH is game for a Leyton return. "If schedules don't work [for Brooke's wedding], maybe we'll bring back Chad and Hilarie at a later date," he said. "If we get a full season maybe at the end of the journey, but those two characters are a big part of this world. We've talked about it, and there seems to be interest from all sides." When we pried about bringing back Karen (Moira Kelly) and other faves, Mark simply stated: "We've never parted ways with anyone with any animosity. We've had such a large cast and we've been on for so long, but there's not one actor that is not invited back or unwilling to come back." Don't miss One Tree Hill Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW, and be sure to check back Monday for our exclusive coverage of the big OTH/Life Unexpected crossover event, also airing next Tuesday. I'm a bit slow on the uptake, but a video from Sophia Bush (too lazy to find it right now ;P) confirms that due to scheduling conflicts Chad and Hil will not be in the wedding episode. BOOOOO!
But there was no (if I remember correctly) comment about the finale, other than that as far as they're concerned season eight is it...

Same here. Especially Peyton, that really sucks. I have such an awesome scene between the two of them in my head with lots of happy tears and it sucks there won't be anything like it.
All we can do is hope they appear for the finale because I don't want the whole series to feel incomplete. But it will, for me, if they don't show up.
