Thanks for the info, I'll give this one a look too, I love Paul.
Isn't Atlas Shrugged the book that Jake gave to Lucas?

^I'm not sure but I intend to find out! So, I just stumbled across this on Twitter: In response to a fan asking if Sophia will stay if OTH goes past an eighth season she said: @biancagraton I don't think that'll happen babe. Season 8 is our final year...And then this: This is the last season anyone is contracted for. I don't mean to break any ♥s, I just want to be honest with you guys. I guess we'll see!twitter.com/SophiaBushSo, if I remember correctly the original contract was for 6 years and I guess the others had theirs renewed for another two years. What does everyone make of this? A part of me hopes this is the way it'll go down. If they know this will be the final season Mark can finish his story and stuff. Also a OTH benefit gig for the Gulf Oil Spill looks like it could be on the cards!

Didn't Mark just say in an interview he wanted it to go on for a while still?

I think so, yeah, but he needs the cast on board too. She said 'I guess we'll see' but like I said, a part of me would be happy if it goes out on a higher note.

As much as I still love the show I don't enjoy it as much as I once did so I'm hoping this is the last season. I wonder how long Mark is thinking he can seriously go on with it.

That's the crux of it for me too. I love Mark, he is by far my favourite TV sho writer, I love reading and watching what he has tp say and I don't want him to turn into Joss Whedon lol

Filming for season 8 starts today!
Sophia tweeted to say the table read was awesome and Austin has said he's read the first three episodes!

The cover art for season seven DVD boxset has changed: I think it looks much better now. Much more sense for Quinn to be next to Clay and it looks less 'put together' now. Also we now have a peek at the back of the box: source: www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Tree-Hill-Season-7/14053

Just seen a tweet by OneTreeHillBugs that says it's official that this will be the last season. I'm not sure if they're an official thing but I did see it retweeted by the SoGoPro street team.
I'm trying to find a more definite source...but I can't find one. So this could be subject to change unless any of you have heard anything?

I think so, yeah, but he needs the cast on board too. She said 'I guess we'll see' but like I said, a part of me would be happy if it goes out on a higher note. He doesn't necessarily need the whole cast on board; people thought the show would die when Chad and Hilarie left but it actually became a much stronger show, IMO. Sophia isn't going anywhere because, let's be honest, the second she leaves, Austin's career is over. He's a good actor, but he's hardly Brad Pitt. James enjoys the show too much to leave and Joy's next move is into music - and she can't sustain that career without being Haley. And if she thinks she can, I have Amy Jo Johnson's number. Maybe they can have a chat about how Amy's music career has fared when she's been 'between shows.' When Amy is working, she sells stacks of them. When she's not, she's childhood nostalgia for my generation (She was the pink Power Ranger and starred in Felicity.)

Actually, Joy is in the process of making a Broadway musical... I don't think it should go past Season 8, and I really don't think the cast wants that either.
