Now that we have finally been graced with an eighth season, what do you expect from it? What do you want to see? Another time jump?
I really want to see Brooke's wedding with the return of the three Scotts!
A part of me hopes that if they did a time jump thing we could see the new Baby Scott all born and being so heart meltingly doted on by Nathan and maybe see the pregnancy in flashbacks.
I'd really like this season to end in a well rounded way that kind of gives everyone their happy ending.

I'd like to see Daneel return as a main cast member, maybe even playing femme fatale for Owen. I think that could be really interesting. I'm also like to see much, much more of Grubbs.

I want to see more Dan I want Brooke to have her child so however they do it I know I want to see that happen for sure. I feel everyone should get their ending they have been wanting. I would love to see Peyton there for Brooke but if Lucas cant come oh well at least bring Peyton.

Writing Lucas out of a wedding wouldn't be all that hard anyway: "He wanted to be here but he's been forced to go on a book tour."
Done.

Yeah, if Chad doesn't want to return it'll be a lot easier to make an excuse. They could even not have Sawyer and he had to stay to look after her because she's ill or something. But none of those excuses would, lets face it, be a satisfactory reason as to why Peyt wouldn't go.

I think Brooke and Julian's wedding would be a perfect way to end the season. I agree that Peyton HAS to come back for it. I want to see Dan, Karen and Deb return. I hope Chase does not get with Alex and goes back with Mia. I want Mouth and Millie back together.

Well, if it is in fact only 12 episodes, the show wouldn't premiere until 2011, and by then, wouldn't it be too long a wait to have Brooke and Julian marry more than a year later? It seems like, judging by their nature, Brooke and Julian would have some sort of impulsive-on-the-beach wedding or something, lol.

Yes I could see them doing something impulsive, you do have a point. I would be in favor of another time jump providing we got to see the important stuff in flashbacks like the wedding and Haley's birth.

I think it could go either way. They could do something spontaneous or they could do something big. They're both likely to be busy and stuff so waiting could work.
And just because it might not be until 2011 that doesn't really mean anything. If Mark wanted to the eighth season could start seconds after season seven ended. It doesn't really make any difference. That's how Alias seasons worked and 24 is like only a week, lol.

I completely agree! Really, Mark could do anything he wants...

It will be a celebration of the most important things, among them the quest for love, laughter, health, friends, career and family: timeless pursuits that have always mattered, and matter now, in a place called Tree Hill.
This is what I really hope season eight follows through with. This sounds to me like they intend to go back to what OTH so great in the first place.
I've been reading around the reactions to this. Peyton being present at Brooke's wedding seems to be one of the most talked about things. I've seen several comments that bringing Peyton, or both of them, back will take the episode away from Brooke. I can see what they're saying but that is not a satisfying excuse as far as I'm concerned.
I also saw several things about how Haley is a better friend than Peyton ever was and so Brooke probably wouldn't care if she was there (I'm paraphrasing but you get the gist) but I just do not get that at all...
Only time will tell, I guess.

I'm opening a debate about this now LOL.

24 is like only a week, lol. From the start of Day One to the end of Day Eight, there have actually been something in the region of 17 years passed in the world of 24. Knowing that makes watching hilarious, too, because you get all sorts of cool modern spy-tech, yet they're (in their world) driving eleven year old cars, using eleven year old phones, etc. LOL.

So now I've seen the whole season, I also desperately hope that Clay and Quinn survive the shooting. I'd like to see them together properly but I think it'll be too much to have two weddings lol
I hope Mia and Chase get back together too. I'm not sure about Mouth and Millie to be honest. I think they're best together but I don't know if they'll find their way back to each other.
Also, I hope they don't just brush over Haley's depression. She's obviously on the way to recovery but I think it'll be more realistic for it to be something she has to continually work towards and I'd like to see that journey.
