Well, it broke my heart. Every single part of it.
Have you seen Delena in this episode? That's what I like. They make me laugh. Their bickering, fighting, provoking each other.. that's their thing. But it's really a friends thing.. that's not a foundation for a relationship, but for a friendship. The first sign of them getting serious is the first sign I'm going to start puking in a moment. I really think they could develop their friendship to be one of the best friendships on tv at the moment.. I hope writers won't throw that chance in trash.
When Stefan saw Elena in the closet.. my heart broke. Her face lit up, and you could see the only thing he wanted to do is to take her in his arms. You know they're meant to be when their most powerful scenes are the ones where no words are shared.
Stefan's story is really getting more and more interesting. What we found out shocked me and I'm really interested to find out more about it. The thing is.. and I really tried not to be biased here.. I don't like Rebekah. Or whatever her name is, because everyone are spelling it differently and I'm confused. From the moment I saw her I said "No. Just no." She bugs me and I don't even know why.. I only know I have a feeling that I'll like her even less as the story progresses. Plus, her and Stefan do not have chemistry as I thought they will. Him and Katherine have much, much more chemistry.
Caroline.. Caroline was amazing in this episode. She broke my heart. But she was strong and she accepted herself for who she is. Like she said, she doesn't need to be fixed. The most painful part is that she kept calling her father daddy while he was torturing her. I couldn't help myself but cry every time she said daddy.
Stelena break up scene. BROKE. MY. HEART. I couldn't stop crying. Stefan: You shouldn't be here. Elena: Where else would I be? This melted my heart. The way she was looking at him, how careful she was before hugging him.. I had a feeling like she's going to fall on her knees and beg him to come home. And then his face after she hugged him. When he closed his eyes.. how he experienced that small amount of happiness that is probably going to haunt him until he comes home. And then.. he said those words to her. I still can't believe some people think he actually meant them, because from the moment he said them, I knew the only thing he's doing is protecting her. But that moment kinda reminded me of why I ship them in the first place. There's not a single thing Stefan wouldn't do to protect Elena. Even in his ripper state he's being a selfless hero for the woman he loves. Elena.. Elena was not aware in what state Stefan is. I think she is now. But Stefan was fully aware, and he knew how much time it took him to get better and to get past everything he did. And he knew that's the only way to make Elena go home, so she can be safe. He had put her safety before his happiness. Because he's going to be protecting her even if she hates him. And that's the beauty in Stefan.. the only thing he wants more than to be with Elena is for her to be happy, and to have a normal life. And as much as it hurts me, Elena needed to hear that, because she needs to be safe. I'm not saying she should give up on Stefan, but she should be rational and keep her head on her shoulders. And what finished breaking my heart is when Stefan turned around and started walking from her. The pain in his eyes.. I instantly knew he wants to take back all that he said to her.
So, Elena's necklace is actually a key to everything. Rebekah said that the necklace is magic, that it holds the power of love, so some people actually think the only reason Elena fell in love with Stefan is because he gave her that necklace and because that necklace was Rebekah's that she and Stefan are actually soul mates.. and I was just sitting there and thinking, WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT? The way I see it.. the necklace probably belonged to the original witch, the one that sealed the curse. The curse was sealed with Petrova blood.. and that means Elena's neck is right where that necklace should be.
You know what also bugs me? When people say Stefan DOESN'T want to come home. He wants to, but he CAN'T.

Well I am having mixed feelings I am kind of over Stefan/Elena and it is mainly Elena that makes me feel that way. She doesn't seem to want to accept what Stefan is no matter what a vampire I don't even know if she sees him this way. She saw the wall and all the people he murdered yet she still acts baffled and wants to "save him". When in actuality she should be more worried about herself and accept what Stefan is doing no matter how much she loves him because if Klaus finds her she is dead and I have a feeling he won't let everyone else off as well..
I think I lean more toward Elena/Damon at the moment and think there is something special between them even if she will never admit it. I don't really 100% root for either ship yet though. They both have flaws.
I don't know about Stefan anymore it is going to be interesting seeing how things go now that he remembers. No matter what he says I don't believe he can just cut off that part of his life. I think he is good but once he gets blood he seems more off than Damon which says a lot. I do like this relationship with him and Rebecca and find it rather interesting. It is the opposite of Katherine he actually liked her.
I am most interested in Klaus and Rebecca and what they are hiding.
Caroline aw Caroline she just breaks my heart. I seriously just want to hug that girl. Her and Tyler's interaction this season has been the best thing to me well one of the best things that is a relationship I can support. I feel they are what this show needs and are in the right direction. I ALMOST like them as much as Anna/Jeremy.
Does anyone else see some hints between Alaric and Elena? There is definitely a vibe there. I feel like they are trying to throw some ideas at us.
@truelove Well i don't know about all that with Stefan and Rebecca being soulmates or if that is why Elena loves Stefan kind of soon to tell but I wonder about Rebecca. Is Stefan going to still be attracted to her well probably attracted but is he still going to have feelings? That is the big question in my mind even though they both were at an evil point in their lives you can't just turn those feelings off right? I am just wondering how this is going to go.

I really don't like the idea of him and Rebekah together. I guess that's because she's apart of Stefan's life I don't want to see him coming back to. I always remember what Rose said. After some time, it's impossible to turn off the feelings. For a young vampire, that's a piece of cake, but when you live with all those feelings long enough, you can never truly turn them off. You can only pretend they're not there, but you're always going to feel something. And Stefan allowed himself to feel everything, especially with Elena. Love, sadness, happiness.. I don't want, and I can't believe he's going to throw that away, just like that. Stefan remembered Rebekah, and Klaus.. he remembered what he felt.. but that doesn't mean he's going to forget what he's feeling now. And the thing is, he loves Elena, he's never going to stop loving Elena. And that's the fact. One part of him probably never stopped loving Katherine either. But Klaus is still the bad guy here.. and Stefan still wants to protect Elena. Rebekah is Klaus's sister, which means she'll probably try and help him. I think Stefan is holding on in there, although he'll probably be confused, and he'll probably do some things I won't like.. because I actually loved Stefan we saw in the first two seasons, and that guy was never boring to me. I just hope they won't turn Stefan into something I always hated about Damon.. because the reality is, he's going to come home, and what then?

I should have posted earlier because now everything is tainted by the latest episode.
In general, I really liked the unfolding of the history. I found it most interesting that Stefan seemed to have a lot to do with the Klaus we know...Klaus wasn't sure of himself when he first met Stefan and I think he took a lot from the type of vampire Stefan was.
I'm really coming round to Tyler and Caroline. They're really genuine and it's really given Tyler a new depth. I think my favourite scene was the really tiny one with Caroline and Liz - it was really sweet and fluffy!
On to episode 4!

I find it kind of funny that Stefan/Klaus were the brothers that Stefan/Damon never were well kind of sad as well. I like your analysis it seems that Klaus was always fascinated by Stefan. Yes Tyler and Caroline seriously own my heart for this show. I don't care whether they are just friends or more because it seems either way you know they care. I am glad the writers are taking their time on this relationship and really letting it play out. I loved her mom when she stuck up for Caroline. Making me love her more and more since last season. What do you think of Rebekah?

I didn't like Rebekah...I thought it would have something to do with that small part of my shipper's heart that still likes the idea of Stefan and Elena together, but its more to do with her not being good for Stefan.
She instantly gave off the impression that she was just as untrustworthy as her brothers and out for herself. For some reason I can't quite put my finger on, I hope she's not around too long.
