I think I loved the crazy storylines. And the hating on Dawson cause he was such a tool lol
But they did always have good new characters coming onto the show.

lol, when I was young (and stupid) I loved Dawson and I always went for him over Pacey. When I grew up and rewatched it I realised what an ass Dawson actually was!
It's still Eddie for me though ;D

Andie is my absolute favorite character, followed closely by Jen and Pacey! The fourth season is probably my favorite, and the sixth was great as well.

lol, Andie isn't a fave of mine. I never really 'cared' about her the same way I did the others. She was pretty annoying. And what she did to Pacey?! Unforgivable!

Are you talking about sleeping with that guy when she was in the institution? Because that's an excuse right there... she was in an institution!

Psssh. That's NOT an excuse! Not in my book anyway, but maybe I'm just evil. I also have to give honourable mention to Grams. I love her.

Andie was one of the few characters with a real character development... And Dawson doesn't count because I think it was just James Van der Beek's acting improving rather than Dawson becoming more likeable himself. And I love Grams!

They all had a real character development. None of them were anything like they were originally by the end of season six. Sure, not many others faced a huge medical problem like Andie did which would of course be a huge difference for her character, but they all had their own personal demons and flaws to overcome. Even Grams

Andie was more annoying that Dawn on BTVS LOL, true. I at least grew to like Dawn. I was always, and still am, a bit indifferent to Andie really. The only other person I find that annoying is Audrey - in season six anyway.

I may actually be a real life incarnation of Dawson, so I've got to show the love there.

Characters? Joey, Pacey, Audrey, and Jack, Jen, and Grams. Couples? Joey/Pacey, Joey/Eddie, Jack/Jen (ok, that doesn't count lol but they're best besties EVER!) Dawson/Jen Season? 3 and 6. Overall? There is a nostalgic element to it for me, for sure. I watched the show religiously while it was on air, for like four years. I'm telling you, you could not pull me away from the TV for anything in the world when DC was on! My friends made fun of me. I idolized Katie when I was younger. I had posters of her all over my room! I thought she was sooo pretty and amazing Joey Potter is still one of my all-time favorite TV characters. I like how she can be both sassy and sweet. She's not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself and her friends. She's fiercely loyal, and strong, and pretty...and of course, sharp as a tack! she's been through so much, and still manages to keep on going with a positive attitude (I always felt her cynicism was cute, but deep down, she has faith in people and the future). I love the shows mix of humor and heart, as cheesy as that sounds.

It's cheesy but true, Becky.
I think the thing with DC was that it wasn't always totally over the top. I mean it was obviously still dramatised but it was also pretty real most of the time, well I think so anyway.
It had it's OTT moments, of course, but I don't know, it was different.
