So i watched this today for the first time and i knew Marissa was going to dye b.c i saw it a few years back on E news. Well I think knowing that made it more sad b.c when she was saying goodbye and talking to ryan saying she wouldnt have changed a thing it broke my heart. I liked how he added he would have changed Oliver.
But when she died it was sad i just felt for Ryan it reminded me of Dawsons creek with Jen a bit like in the finale when Dawson saw her getting out of the cab from that first episode how they showed ryan in the car looking at Marissa in the pilot again it just made it more sad.
I was a little upset that they didnt show more in the season 4 premiere but i thought they did good in some ways. Im not that far in season 4 yet.

I never cried at any finale except The OC (season 3) and D.C

lol, well I cry at most things but that doesn't mean that this ending wasn't heartbreaking. I know they would have worked it out if they had both made it to college.
What tears me apart the most is the way that scene mirrors him carrying her out of the alleyway after she ODs in season one. It's a pinnacle image of their relationship.

Yes that is what made it so sad i thought of that scene and their whole relationship they did it wonderfully. I cry at moments that are sad in general and some endings of shows like Buffy with her and spike and angel with Wesley and Fred and how Illyria finally showed emotion. It depends on the show and how well they do the script and such.

I cry at almost every show, but I'lll never forget how hard I cried when Marissa died in Ryan's arms.
