I love Pacey and Joey, cause I feel they both can stabilized each other. Where else with Dawson, well he over-analyze things and makes thing more complicated Welcome to the forum btw!

Yeah, Pacey/Joey definitely > Dawson/Joey. Dawson and Joey was extremely weird to me, especially when they had sex in Season 6... ugh.

When I was younger it was always Dawson and Joey. I don't think it was weird in the beginning but by season six it was.
I'll always think Joey should have ended up with Eddie but as that was never going to happen, I think Pacey and Joey are better for the long haul. Joey and Dawson are soul mates but much more compatible in the platonic zone.

Whenever there were moments of sexual intimacy between Dawson and Joey, I would cringe. It just felt way too weird.

I agree that it became uncomfortable in the later episodes, but in the first season and a half it's what the show was about: the will they won't they crux. If you look at them in comparison to Lucas and Haley who have always been established as just best friends. Dawson and Joey didn't have that brother/sister thing enforced from the start.
But later, yeah, it did get a bit strange, once that more filial bond had transpired.
One of the most interesting things between Joey/Dawson and Joey/Pacey was the nature of the sexual tension between them. Dawson and Joey had this 'been friends forever and kinda in love' thing going on but with Pacey and Joey it was pure electricity, they just sparked. Which, is much more appealing and less cliche!

But it's not cliche. Sure, it may be just as cliche as "Forbidden love" nowadays with all this Twatlight crap, but Bangel will always be way more cliched. =D

Michael13 Thanks
Thanks guys for input. I also liked eddie as well he was cute but he had his problems but everyone does. I loved dawson and joey in the first and second season the other ones pacey grew on me. I mean i always liked him but he grew the most out of the characters well they all did. But if we are talking about favorite couples another was jack and jen.

What for two enemies to come together? Or the whole unrequited love thing? Sure. I think the appealing thing about Joey and Pacey was the problem they faced when Pacey wasn't good enough. Which is where you're thing about his maturity comes in marisa, because it took him so long to realise that he was good enough and so was the love he had to offer.

Yes i totally agree i loved seeing his journey and how joey helped they had such great chemistry as well to. I loved when he realized he was good enough. That final scene with them together got me and i was like aww and the Dawson and Spielberg thing just overall great.

The first 2 seasons I was wanting it to be D/J but after that it was always P/J. I love D/J as friends and they have some amazing moments together but to me they never match the chemistry and intensity that P/J had.

JOEY AND PACEY ALL THE WAY.
The whole Joey/Dawson thing was cute when they were 16, but then it just became plain pathetic and boring. He knows her too well. I think he's her soulmate. Person who'll always know her the best. When they meet in 10 years, he'll look at her eyes and he'll know what she's thinking. But that's it.. there's no mystery, no passion, he always knows what to say and what to do. But Pacey, he challanges her.. she is ready to torn her walls down because of him. To wear her heart on the palm of her hand. What they had.. that was beautiful. But both of them had one probem.. he felt like nothing when he was with her, and she felt bad, felt guilty of being happy because of Dawson. In the end, all of that disappeared. When she asked Dawson to write that letter for college for her, the person who knows her the best, Pacey asked her will he ever be the one who knows her the best, the one on the first place, the one she loves the most.. and she said the future is theirs, he is her future. I'm glad that came true. When the problems came her way, she ran back to Capeside. She knew that's where she needs to go. Because Pacey IS the Capeside.
