Agree with all of the following previously-mentioned shows:

My So-Called Life
Freaks & Geeks - LOVE that show
Young Americans
FlashForward
The Class

Also:

Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip - Smart, funny, extremely well cast and written beautifully. NBC had to make a straight choice between that and 30 Rock... then got forced to choose the weaker show when Lorne Michaels pulled rank. My SNL boycott is still ongoing.

Hidden Palms was another favourite of mine. A teen drama by Kevin Williamson, it only got eight episodes and centred around a lot of secrets, lies and a murder mystery. It got cancelled just as it started building real momentum and, frankly, had potential to be THE greatest teen drama of all time. It's also given me a hatred of overly-hasty network execs.

I *think* all the Young Americans episodes are on youtube in full. Not sure how good the quality is but I'm going to rewatch it soon and I'll be using that.

As long as I can find October Road, I'm going to hit that up! ;)

I love this sort of thing/forum/thread for TV show recommendations and stuff. It's awesome!

October Road did pop up on ITV1 a few months ago and seemed to suddenly stop, maybe they will start showing it again.

I never got into Dirty Sexy Money.

My favorite So NoTORIous episode would have to be when her cell phone is stolen and she's all afraid of Shannen. Most hilarious thing ever.
