In 2011 - In the finest cross-teen drama casting I've ever witnessed - Adam Brody (The O.C.) and Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) team up with Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat, Hugh Laurie (House), journeyman acting legend Oliver Platt and Alison Janney (The West Wing, Juno, Hairspray) in a romantic comedy called The Oranges.
IMDB's plot summary just says this: "A guy falls for the daughter of a family friend, making life just a bit awkward for himself and the family."
Yeah. Epic. Bit of trivia... The role of Ethan is being played by Sam Rosen, but one of the auditionees for the role was The Vampire Diaries' Paul Wesley.
Regular Entourage director Julian Farino is in the chair.

"You can't stand the idea that if a girl is choosing between two guys, she may not choose the romantic doofus who woos her with flowers and cheesy poems, you know? She just might choose the guy with the faster car or the bigger bicep or... the bigger joystick." ~ Joey Potter (Detention)

WENN Kristen Bell will appear in an upcoming episode of Party Down.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Bell will reprise her role as Uda, the girlfriend of Henry (Adam Scott) and the head of a rival catering company.
"You do get a taste of their relationship," Scott explained. "She's 100% in the driver's seat of the relationship. It comes at a time when Henry is deciding to take the reins of his life a little more and figure out what he's actually wanting to do."
The relationship will also force Casey, played by Lizzy Caplan, to examine her feelings for Henry.
"I would like to say that she handles it gracefully, but she doesn't really," Caplan said. "She doesn't go out of her way to sabotage that relationship, but she certainly makes fun of him for dating a loser."
She revealed that the storyline will climax in the season finale but added: "Gotta end it on a sad note on Party Down."
Meanwhile, Glee star Jane Lynch will return as Constance for the finale, which will focus on her wedding.
The episode's director Ken Marino described the groom as a "Robert Evans type", saying: "He's this old school, much older gentleman. His family thinks she's just a gold-digger, so there's a little conflict there."
any idea if she will be in the whole fourth season? what she will play there?
I don't think she's in the whole of the fourth season.
She's a love interest for Nate, and supposed to cause trouble for several of the characters.
